Olivia Dean was the undisputed star of the Brit Awards in Manchester on Saturday night. The British singer went home with a total of four awards.

Dean took to the stage as a winner from the very first award of the evening. Alongside Sam Fender, she won the Brit Award for Song of the Year for their track “Rein Me In.”

Following that success, Dean also secured awards for Best Pop Act, Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year, the latter for her record The Art of Loving. Dean accepted the honors with visible emotion, addressing her family in her speech: “It takes a lot of people to be a good artist. I realize now that I have great people around me. Thank you, I love you.”

Other Notable Winners

  • Best International Artist: Awarded to Spanish singer RosalĂa, who beat out contenders including Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan.

  • Breakthrough of the Year: Awarded to Lola Young.

  • Group of the Year: Awarded to Wolf Alice.

  • Sam Fender: In addition to Song of the Year, he took home the trophy for Best Alternative/Rock Act.

Tributes to Ozzy Osbourne and Mark Ronson

The ceremony included a poignant tribute to the late rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. His widow, Sharon, and daughter, Kelly, accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award on his behalf. “Thank you for loving my father as much as I do,” Kelly told the audience.

Mark Ronson was also honored with the Outstanding Contribution award for his influence on contemporary music. The producer, musician, and DJ used his speech to honor the late Amy Winehouse, with whom he co-wrote the iconic track “Back to Black” twenty years ago. Ronson noted that the song changed his life “forever” and reflected on his work on several other tracks from Winehouse’s discography.
