Snoop Dogg to Produce and Star in New Crime Thriller

Snoop Dogg is set to star in the new crime thriller God Of The Rodeo. The American rapper will also produce the film. According to Deadline, he describes working on the project as “life-changing and an honor.”

The film, directed by Rosalind Ross, is based on the reporting of author Daniel Bergner within the deadliest prison in the Southern United States. “We are bringing an important story and something special to the screen,” Snoop Dogg stated.

The 54-year-old artist is stepping in as a producer through his own production company, Death Row Pictures. The company has also been developing a Snoop Dogg biopic for Universal Pictures for several years.

Snoop Dogg has been a fixture in the rap world for decades. He is best known for hits such as Who Am I (What’s My Name?), Still D.R.E., The Next Episode, Beautiful, and Drop It Like It’s Hot.
