Justin Bieber’s shoes and Shakira’s top: World Cup auction raises hundreds of thousands.

An online auction featuring items from the 2026 World Cup has raised over $652,000 (nearly €570,000). The proceeds will go to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which invests in education and football for children worldwide.

The auction was organized by auction house Christie’s and included various items from the tournament. Among the items under the hammer were match balls from the first three opening games, as well as clothing worn by various artists who performed during the event.

Clothing worn by the South Korean pop group BTS brought in the most money. A shirt belonging to Jimin sold for $110,000. People were also able to bid on sneakers belonging to Justin Bieber, which fetched $26,400.

Additionally, the yellow top and matching trousers Shakira wore in the music video for the official World Cup song Dai Dai were auctioned off. That outfit brought in $8,250. Madonna’s pink gloves went under the hammer for more than $40,000.

All proceeds will go to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. The fund aims to raise $100 million in the coming years to give children worldwide better access to quality education and football.
