Miley Cyrus announces her tenth album, Bass Persuades.

Featuring ten tracks, the album will be released on September 18, the American singer shared on Instagram. She also announced two concerts on October 16 and 18 at the Hollywood Bowl.

“Music grabs us. We feel it, we sing it, we sometimes dance to it, we let it go, and we keep moving forward,” she writes alongside the announcement of her new album. “It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet, and strong. A heart full of love, heartbreak, and everything in between.” She hopes her fans will “love” the album.

There were earlier signs that the singer was about to make a major announcement. On her official website and on Instagram, she changed her name from Miley Cyrus to just Miley.

According to the record label, the album ushers in a new era in which Miley (without a last name) will honor the influence of her recently deceased godmother, Dolly Parton, writes Rolling Stone. However, Miley Cyrus is still listed as the artist’s name on streaming platforms.

Accompanying the announcement of the two shows, Cyrus writes that it has “been a while.” The last time Miley played her own shows in the United States was in 2021.
