Cowboy Carter’, the new album by Beyoncé (42), is breaking one record after another. The album was only released on Friday and is reaching milestones according to the streaming services.
Beyoncé’s country album ‘Cowboy Carter’ reached a record on both Spotify and Amazon Music. On Spotify it is the album that has been streamed the most in one day (in 2024). It is also the first time that a country album has achieved that title this year. Spotify has not yet shared any concrete figures. However, her first single from the record, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’, scored more than 200 million streams and is currently in second place in the Ultratop 50.
On Amazon’s streaming service, ‘Cowboy Carter’ has had the best start of all Beyoncé’s albums. It also achieved the most first-day streams for a country album by a female artist. The American singer also collaborated on this record with names such as Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton and Post Malone. ‘Cowboy Carter’ is the second album in a triptych after the dance album ‘Renaissance’ from 2022. Beyoncé reportedly worked on it for 5 years.
