Bon Jovi’s ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’ Joins Spotify’s ‘Billions Club’

Bon Jovi‘s “You Give Love a Bad Name” has surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.

The track was the band’s first No. 1 hit when it topped the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1986. The song, which was the first single from the band’s 1986 album, Slippery When Wet, was penned by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, and Desmond Child.

“You Give Love A Bad Name” is also the band’s second song to breach the billion-streams mark on Spotify after “Livin’ on a Prayer” achieved the feat in January 2023.

Meanwhile, the band released their 16th studio album, Forever, on Friday, June 7th via Island Records. The album features the blockbuster single “Legendary” along with “Living Proof.
